Go Wireless is Heating Up So-Cal With Fantastic Customer Experiences

Founded in Southern California in 1995, Go Wireless is a Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer with hundreds of locations across the United States, and is heating up So-Cal with countless stories of fantastic customer experiences.

After reading the reviews coming out of their home base, there's no wonder why they've experienced explosive growth in such a short period of time.

We'll focus our attention on two stores in the area, with dozens of reviews and an average rating of 4.5 and 5 stars on Yelp, respectively.

Notice how Olive said she drives further away, and past other Verizon stores, to visit the Go Wireless location in Huntington Beach. Moving away didn't keep her from visiting Jose, Richard, and the rest of the "awesome" staff there.

Lesson Learned: Not all wireless dealers are created equal. You might be one of hundreds offering the same product, but that's not what you're really selling. You're selling yourself, and building relationships. Do it well, and you'll keep customers coming back to you for life.

What about Robin? She talks about an equally satisfying experience she had, with the store manager Priscilla being incredibly attentive to her needs.  Notice how Priscilla, who was swamped by a large amount of customers in the store at once, made sure to acknowledge Robin as soon as she walked in. Even though she wasn't able to tend to her right away, Priscilla made sure Robin knew that she would be with her very shortly.

Lesson Learned: Never. Ignore. The customer. Even if you can't help them right now, acknowledge them as soon as they walk in. It lets them know that you are aware of their presence, and care enough to be with them as soon as you're done with your current customer.

Chris, a long-time customer of Sprint for 14 years, decided he had enough of their services and was now a free agent. After switching to Verizon, he says he "immediately noticed a difference in the customer service at this location", citing both Yusem and Jessica as big factors in his positive experience.

Rebecca had tried her fair share of wireless dealers and, up until this point, was unimpressed with the service she received. Then she walked into the Go Wireless Hillcrest location, where Alfredo and the team turned her frown upside down. Describing Alfredo as "very helpful and super knowledgeable", she made it clear that she will be coming back to this store for a long time.

Lesson Learned: Set realistic expectations. The staff at Hillcrest told Rebecca that it would be a 20-30 min wait, but then tended to her in 10, making her feel like she was getting a special treatment. If they had said it would be a 5 min wait, Rebecca likely would have been annoyed by having to wait longer than she expected. Be honest, then follow through on your promises.


What else can we learn from Go Wireless?

In addition to satisfying customers everywhere in their retail stores, Go Wireless maintains an excellent online presence with a great website, blog, and engaged audiences on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Lesson Learned: Don't be afraid to show the human side of your business. People are tired of being pitched to by brands trying too hard to be "hip". But we will never grow tired of real human connections, especially in an era where everything is digital and disingenuous. Show some personality!

All of this adds up to be a great experience for Go Wireless customers.
